what I did
- Built the marketing department and hired three people in about seven weeks.
- Repositioned the company from low-cost builder to luxury experience.
- Led a full rebrand to Inhabit in about two weeks under legal pressure.
- Selected six national expansion markets in a three-day sprint.
the story
In about seven weeks I built the department, hired a team, rebuilt the website, set national media deals, and repositioned a machine-learning home builder toward luxury. A trademark conflict forced a rename, so I ran a brand sprint with strategist Rob Meyerson and landed on Inhabit in about two weeks. I also picked six expansion markets, led by New Jersey and Dallas, in a three-day sprint.
The department became a working machine. The company failed about three weeks before its planned press launch, which reinforced that even strong systems cannot save an unstable business.
outcome
Full department and rebrand in about seven weeks.
